Sunflower Butter Granola

This may be the most addicting snack I have ever created. Sunflower Seed Butter Granola. So rather than bore you with a million reasons as to why you should make this incredibly crunchy, sweet and surprisingly healthy snack, I’m just gonna tell you to take my word for it. And even though you may need to take a trip to the health food store for a few of the ingredients (my dad and my boyfriend will simultaneously be rolling their eyes at that statement) the result is definitely worth it. Enjoy!

Ingredients: Makes 2 cups

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup whole, raw almonds
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 3 heaping tablespoons sunflower seed butter
  • 2 tablespoons light agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips


  1. In a large bowl, mix oats, almonds & chia seeds together
  2. In a smaller bowl, whisk sunflower seed butter & agave nectar together; microwave for 30 seconds or until sunflower seed butter becomes a bit more fluid
  3. Add canola oil to sunflower seed butter mixture and stir until just combined
  4. Pour wet ingredients over dry and mix until all the oats are well coated
  5. Spread mixture out on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 for 15 minutes, tossing granola occasionally during baking time
  6. After removing from oven, toss warm granola with chocolate chips
