Today is a very special day in the world of Miss Petite Sweets. It is the blog’s first birthday! Or as it is often called in the blogging community, the 1 year Blogiversary. And I have to say it has been a wonderful year here at Miss Petite Sweets. What started as a journal of recipes read by only my boyfriend and my Mom (thanks, guys!) has turned into a blog with 70 subscribers and over 10,000 page views. This little blog was even chosen as the Editor’s Choice for Most Valuable Food Blog by CBS Detroit. I can’t believe that my recipes and stories have been enjoyed so much over the last year, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Writing and Food have always been two things I’ve loved, but I never thought combining the two would be so fun. So thank you to all you wonderful readers. For you, I have made a special Blogiversary Recipe. Birthday Cake Whoopie Pies. These Cookies & Cream-like whoopie pies have a classic chocolate base with a birthday cake filling. How do you make Birthday Cake Filling? With Birthday Cake Oreos, of course! It is Oreo’s 100th birthday and in honor of their very special day they created a special edition Oreo with a cake batter filling with sprinkles. They are amaaaazing. If you’re a fan of funfetti, you’ll be a fan of these. You can make these whoopie pies as big or small as you’d like, because either way they are delicious.
And just for fun, I thought I’d share some facts with you about the first year of Miss Petite Sweets.
